Nintendo Wii Balance Board (the original Nintendo board can only be bought in combination with Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus software)

Blue-Soleil Bluetooth driver *

Sitecom USB Bluetooth dongle *

EWL Balance Software

WiimoteLib.dll (by Brain Peek. The .dll needs to be in the same folder as the .exe file)

Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 (available for free at Microsoft download center)

* Only specific combinations of Bluetooth drivers and Bluetooth hardware enable a stable connection between a Windows pc and the Wii Balance Board. The combination suggested above works on all of our Windows PCs and laptops that are used for balance research (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7). Other combinations might work too, but it has been reported that not all of them do.
